Adventure Park Geelong is a seasonal water and theme park at Wallington, on the Bellarine Highway about 16 km east of central Geelong. For 2026-27 it reopens on 21 November 2026 and closes on 27 March 2027. Day tickets cost $54 to $64 depending on the date, all rides are included, and children under 90 cm get in free.

It’s the big summer day out for Geelong families. The park lists more than 20 rides, slides and play areas, from a lazy river to a drop of seven and a half storeys.

About the park

Adventure Park sits on the Bellarine Highway between Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula. It won Gold at the Victorian Tourism Awards in 2019 and 2022, according to the park. Summer is the main season, but the park also runs events at other times of year: in 2026 it held a Winter Glow night event, which is why the Super Pass ($229) covers three seasonal events rather than just the water park.

For questions about the day, the park takes calls on 03 5250 7200.

Season dates and opening days

The park is closed from April to mid-November, apart from special winter events. The summer calendar for 2026-27, checked October 2026, looks like this:

Period Open days “From” day ticket
21 November to 24 December 2026 Selected days, including weekends $54
26 December 2026 to 10 January 2027 Daily $64
11 to 26 January 2027 Daily $59
February 2027 Fridays ($54), Saturdays and Sundays ($59) $54 to $59
March 2027 Mostly Friday to Sunday, last day 27 March $54

Checked October 2026 on the park’s opening hours page. The park is closed on Christmas Day and on 1, 11, 15 and 16 December. Daily hours start at 10 am and finish at 5, 6 or 7 pm depending on the date, so look up your day before you plan the drive home.

Ticket prices

Prices are set by date, not just by age. The cheapest days are in late November, early December and the shoulder weeks of February and March. The dearest stretch is the summer school holidays, from Boxing Day to 10 January.

  • Day tickets: from $54, $59 or $64 depending on the date (checked October 2026).
  • Season Pass: $145 per person online, with $10 off day tickets for four friends.
  • Super Pass: $229 per person, which also covers the park’s other seasonal events.
  • Under 90 cm: free.

Tickets are priced by height, and RACV’s guide says every ride is included in the entry price. Cabanas, sun beds and lockers cost extra.

If you think you’ll go three times or more, the Season Pass pays for itself on the $54 days alone. Twice in a summer, and day tickets are cheaper.

Rides and height limits

The rides page names the headline slides:

  • Tornado: a slide with a drop the park describes as seven and a half storeys.
  • Tsunami: the park calls it Victoria’s only triple-funnel waterslide.
  • Thunder Falls: the newest set of slides.
  • Aqua Racer: a high-speed water ride.
  • Lazy River: a relaxed float ride.
  • Bonitos Bay Waterplay: the splash area for small children.

RACV’s guide lists a 120 cm minimum height for the Tornado, Tsunami and Wave Swinger, 95 cm for the Crazy Coaster and 90 cm for the toddler rides. Measure your children at home. A child who misses 120 cm by a centimetre will spend the day watching the big slides, and that’s a long day.

Getting there

The park is at 1249 Bellarine Highway, Wallington. By car from central Geelong it’s about 16 km and 20 minutes, heading east towards Leopold and the Bellarine Peninsula. From Melbourne allow about 90 minutes, longer on a hot Saturday in January.

Without a car, take V/Line from Southern Cross to Geelong Station, then a bus towards the Bellarine. The park’s travel page lists McHarry’s Bus Lines as the Geelong bus operator but no route number, so check the PTV journey planner for your date. Our Melbourne to Geelong guide covers the train leg.

If you’re staying the night, the where to stay in Geelong guide lists family apartments in the city, about 20 minutes away.

Food, lockers and what to bring

RACV’s 2023 guide says you can bring your own food and drinks, but not fast-food takeaway, alcohol, glass or knives. The park’s food page lists five outlets, including The Hungry Shack, Munchies Cafe and an ice cream parlour.

Pack:

  • sunscreen, hats and rash vests;
  • thongs or water shoes;
  • a towel each and a bag for wet swimmers;
  • a plan for valuables: RACV says lockers are hired for the whole day, first come, first served.

Tips from the calendar

Go on a $54 Friday in February if you can. School is back, and it’s the cheapest ticket of the summer.

Arrive at 10 am opening to get the full day out of your ticket, and check the calendar for days with a 6 or 7 pm close.

Check the park’s social media on the morning of a visit after storms. The park closed for a day in October 2026 after flooding.

Pair it with the coast. Adventure Park is on the road to the Bellarine Peninsula, so a family can cool off at Portarlington or Ocean Grove on a non-slide day. The Geelong beaches guide has the patrolled options.

For more ideas with children, see Geelong with kids, which covers Fairy Park, the waterfront carousel and the council’s favourite playgrounds.

Adventure Park Geelong is a private business. This guide is independent and is not connected to the park.

Questions people ask

When does Adventure Park Geelong open for 2026-27?

The water park reopens on Saturday 21 November 2026 and runs until late March 2027. It does not open every day. December has a handful of closed days, including Christmas Day, and in February and March the park is mostly open Friday to Sunday. Check the calendar on the park's website before you drive out, because hours also change from day to day.

How much are Adventure Park Geelong tickets?

For the 2026-27 season the park lists day tickets from $54 on quieter dates, $59 in mid-January and on February weekends, and $64 from Boxing Day to 10 January (checked October 2026). A Season Pass costs $145 per person online. Tickets are priced by height, and children under 90 cm get in free. Buying online is the easiest way to lock in a date.

Can you bring your own food to Adventure Park?

RACV's 2023 guide says you can bring food and drinks as long as it is not takeaway from a fast-food chain, and that alcohol, glass and knives are not allowed. Picnic food works well. The park also runs several outlets, including The Hungry Shack and Munchies Cafe, and says it caters for vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free diets. Check the park's FAQ for this season's rules.

How do you get to Adventure Park Geelong without a car?

Take the V/Line train from Melbourne to Geelong Station, then a local bus towards the Bellarine. The park's own travel page names McHarry's Bus Lines as the Geelong bus operator but does not give a route, so plan the bus leg with the PTV journey planner for your date. A taxi from Geelong is the simpler option for a family with bags and towels.

Is Adventure Park Geelong good for toddlers?

Yes, within limits. Children under 90 cm enter free, and RACV lists toddler rides with a 90 cm limit plus the Bonitos Bay Waterplay splash area. The big slides are a different story: RACV gives a 120 cm minimum for the Tornado, Tsunami and Wave Swinger. Families with a mix of ages often split up, with one adult on the slides and one at the splash area.
